Spring into Relaxation, Outdoor Workouts, & Organizing Your Pantry!

Happy Spring! I am so excited to be writing this blog post today! Spring has finally sprung in the mid west and it feels so good to have sunshine and fresh air! I have 3 different spring inspired goodies for you today in this blog post! Scroll down to read more!


Is it spring cleaning season in your house? As the weather begins to turn, it is the perfect season to find those organized, categorized, cleaning traits buried underneath all the BLAH of winter! Getting rid of the old and making room for the new at the start of a new season can refresh the personality and outlook you have of your home. Let’s make this season’s outlook a BRIGHT one!

First up, the pantry! No matter the size of your space, the pantry can quickly become a home for all the things that don’t have a regular spot in your house. It can also hold cleaning and cooking products that should not be near each other, expired ingredients and forgotten space that could be used more efficiently! Follow the steps here to organize, trash, clean and contain your pantry! Remember to take a before and after when you do and tag me on social media so I can cheer you on!


The spring season may give you the feelings of “GO, GO, GO!” Spring cleaning, spring sports, new outdoor workouts, more social activities with friends… it is important to counter-balance all the extra going you’re doing with some extra rest and relaxation!

The sunnier days and milder weather can bring on more Vitamin D, better sleep, and improved mood. But if you’re not feeling the spring fever, that’s okay too. You may be MORE tired due to time changes and an increase in activities. You may feel overwhelmed or anxious by the expectations to do and clean and go this time of year. Your body may hate the pollen.

However you feel, scheduling  times of relaxation into your day is important. We’ve put together some of our favorite activities to help you relax and recharge this season. Try adding one activity into your week and use it as a relaxation spot to look forward to each week!


You know that I love my Netflix-style library of workouts! With over 75 complete programs to follow and a few dozen extra workout add-ins for whatever you’re feeling, I have found my YES with virtual workouts! The spring season reminds me of another reason why I am so thankful for the flexibility of these programs - taking my workout OUTSIDE! 

There are SO many benefits to getting your workout in outside. First, your health; daily physical activity anywhere is great, but studies show that outdoor activities have the same effect on our blood pressure, and heart rate, but may be perceived as less strenuous on our bodies! Also, without the confinements of a gym or a class schedule, you can schedule your workout when and wherever you want. And we can all use some extra Vitamin D (but don’t forget your sunscreen!).
