Love As Both Mom and Stepmom

May 2014 was the first time that I met my now stepson. He was just shy of 3 years old, and I had no idea that in just two short years I would be marrying his dad. Dating someone who already has a little one is not something I ever thought I would do; but life doesn’t always go as planned, and I learned to roll with it. Fast forward two years I have fallen madly in love with my now husband and learned to love his little boy! A little one of our own was always the plan. But I would be lying if I said that didn’t scare me a little bit; I was terrified I was going to love my biological child differently than my stepson.
