Ham Dumpling Soup
Sep 18, 2020Does your family love having soups in the winter? I know I love the smell of our apartment in the winter after I a have made a homemade soup!
This soup was a full on pregnancy craving I had never made this recipe prior to about a week ago and it was actually really delicious and will make it to my recipe book. Do you have any recipes that were born that way?!
Ingredients
- 1 Box Chicken Broth (Organic if possible- less sodium)
- 1 Small Pre Cooked Ham
- 1/2 Cup Carrots
- 1 Small Onion
- 1 Cup Celery
- 1 Bag Frozen Green Beans
- 1 Box Baking Mix For Dumplings
- Salt, Pepper, & Italian Seasoning To Taste
Instructions
-
Add Onion, Celery, Carrots, Chicken Stock & seasonings into pan on medium heat for 7-10 minutes (Cut veggies to your liking) Dice up ham and add to pot
-
Make dumplings according to box directions. (bisquick or something similar should have directions on the side of the box on how to make them)
-
Add frozen green beans and cover for an additional 10 minutes. After that 10 minutes add your uncooked dumplings into your soup pan, spread them out if possible so when they puff up they don't get stuck together. Put lid on and cook for 10-12 minutes. Uncover and check dumplings and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until dumplings are cooked through. Then you are ready to serve.
You could add cheese or crackers if you wish.
